“Beat of a Drum” follows the evolution of percussion from ancient times to the present in a variety of uses including ritual healing, wartime unification, and modern political resistance.

 This documentary features interviews with Dr. Nancy Love, Dr. Laurie Semmes, Dr. Shawn Roberts, and Dr. Scott Meister, as well as recordings of performances on period drums by Dr. Shawn Roberts.
